Book Lee for Home Visit

Service Description

This is where Lee will visit your home, to help you with any behavioural concerns your dog is displaying within the home environment. This is a confidential behaviour consultation that focuses on you and your dog. If your dog has specific behavioural concern that is effecting your dog and your home life this is the session for you. Your dog will be assessed by Lee who has years of experience and qualifications that enable him to give you a specific diagnosis of your dogs behaviours. This will ascertain your dog's training needs and allow a specific behavioural modification plan to be developed for your dog. You may be required to complete a questionnaire before Lee attends. Please when you sign up for the session try to tell Lee as much information on your booking form, if needed Lee will contact you before your home visit no discuss your specific reasons for booking a home visit. We recommend that your dog has a full health check by your vet before your appointment. How the process works: once you have booked a home visit, Lee will call you at an appropriate time to discuss your dogs behaviours, this may last up 30 minutes. Lee will then arrange your home visit, this may take a few hours to complete, as Lee will make sure you fully understand the training process. This will then be followed up with a 30 minute zoom meeting two weeks later. This will be an over a months worth of support. Your process will be as follows: Pre visit Telephone Consultation Home visit Catch up meeting on zoom You may be required to attend further training dates with Lee as most dogs behaviours require lots of time and training to make a positive difference. This a list that Lee has experience and proven track record of positively changing dogs behaviours in a home environment. Low Confidence Hyper arousal Reactivity to dogs Reactivity to people Aggression to dogs Aggression to people Separation Anxiety Guarding Objects Guarding Places Excessive Barking Excessive Chewing Car Chasing Rescue dogs from abroad Rescue dogs from local animal shelters If your dog is displaying some of the above behaviours, this is the session to book. We do not cover general obedience in these appointments. A home visit may be for more than the allocated time, please allow for extra time in your day.


Cancellation Policy

All Dog Training Classes, Behavioural Consultations, Home Visits, 1-2-1, Online Consultations, must be paid in full before your appointment. Thank you for supporting our small business. School of Dogs Terms & Conditions • All clients will be deemed to have accepted ‘School of Dogs’ terms and conditions as laid out here before attending any of our classes. • Full payment for services is to be made before attending all dog training classes and services. Once you have attended and committed to one of our dog training courses, you have agreed to our service, no refunds can be made. • School of Dogs holds Public Liability insurance; all dogs should be suitably insured by the client before attending classes. • School of Dogs will make every effort to ensure your pets safety whilst participating in our classes, however, School of Dogs cannot be held liable for any injury that is sustained to a pet either inside our classes, or outside in your care. • If your dog becomes injured whilst participating in our classes the client is responsible for any veterinary bills that may arise. • School of Dogs must be alerted to any behavioural problems with their dogs at the time of booking. Dogs that show aggression towards other dogs or people will be asked to leave the class. • Behaviour problems must be addressed in a private class, so that we can ensure all of our other dogs and owners are at no risk. • You will be required to be in charge of your dog at all times, and must keep them under full control. • It is essential that all dogs participating should have a collar, leader, harness, no choke chains, or check collars can be worn when participating with School Of Dogs. • During the training sessions a variety of dog training treats will be used, you must inform the instructor of your dog’s dietary requirements. • It is essential that your dog is physically fit and able to undertake dog training; it may be worth consulting your vet before attending the class to ensure that it is ok if you have any doubts about your dog’s wellbeing. • All clients will be given a training development plan that documents your own learning. • At all school of dog’s classes and training areas, there is a no smoking or consuming alcohol policy. • Children are welcome at our classes under supervision from parents. • All clients are asked to wear appropriate clothing for all dog training activities • School of dogs use positive dog training techniques, we will not condone any handlers/owners using any harsh techniques in our classes. • Your appointment is set to a specific time. We will not be able to accommodate you if you attend earlier than your allocated time. • School of dogs centre is used for many classes, for hygienic purposes we can not allow muddy boots or muddy dogs into the centre. • Please make sure your dog has a poo and wee before attending the centre. *A full refund will be given if you cancel within 48 hours notice, with a valid reason, however, if you cancel in less than 24 hours a cancellation fee will be applied of 25% of your booking, booking under 24 hours will not be refunded.
